Running for Oesophageal Cancer Awareness

Donation protected
There are times in life when terrible things happen to wonderful people. Sometimes we can't fix things, as much as we desperately wish we could. But I CAN do this. I am dragging myself out of my comfort zone to raise money. I am running (well, let's be honest - running, walking, shuffling, crawling..) my way to the finish line of this year's City2Surf. And it will all go to the OCAGI.

The OCAGI (Oesophageal Cancer Awareness Group Inc) is a local organisation, aiming to raise awareness about this little known, agressive, horrible disease and support the families affected by it. The more common forms of cancer get so much media coverage and support. This form mainly affects middle aged men and takes husbands and fathers away from their families. It needs to be detected earlier and researched more intensely.

Which takes money. Please support this cause. I promise to post as many embarrassing, sweaty, red-faced photos as I can and keep you updated along the way. It will be worth it.
