***Update as as of 5/2/2015. I am recovering from a stem cell transplant and am doing well. I have many months left before I can work and am on temporary disability. There is a total of $474,000 owed in hospital debt. Although I have made payment arrangements and am negotiating down the debt, my monthly expenditures far exceed my limited income. My name is Derek Day and on June 6th of 2014, I was diagnosed with with AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Please help with donations, and please share this link. I begin chemo therapy next week.
I feel that this has come about in my life as a catalyst for spiritual awakening and growth. I am staying strong and giving praise, as this is part of life's grand adventure. We tend to walk through life thinking that we are immune to certain things. The concept of "It won't happen to me", is common to us all, but is a complete farce. So please love the ones around you, and live your life to the fullest in each moment!
