Belle's Believers

Donation protected
When Belle first got sick it started with a rash , high fever and vomiting. Doctor said it was viral and would run it course after not improving and returning back to the doctor a second time in a week on Sunday February 2 she was taken to the ER . She was admitted to a local hospital where she would stay for 2 days before being transferred to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston with fluid on her lungs and heart, vomiting and on oxygen. On February 12 they were given a possible diagnosis but after not responding to the treatment, multiple test, several procedures and being put in ICU on a ventilator on February 27 she was diagnosed with a rare immune disorder Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). She was treated with steroids and is currently being treated with Chemo and several blood transfusions. On March 3 Belle celebrated her 9th birthday in Texas Children's continuing to have Chemo. On Saturday March 8 Belle got to go home but would have to return twice a week for Chemo. On Monday March 10 she went back for her treatment and was admitted back to Texas Children's which brings us up to today March 19. Belle is one very strong little girl as are her mom and dad. Belle has been in the hospital for a month and half with only 2 nights at home. Belle was released from the hospital only to return to TCH twice a week every week for treatments. She still has a long way to go and every time she runs a fever she has to go back to the hospital for test to make sure she is not having a flair up of the HLH. Belle’s treatment continues and further testing is being done for other possible auto immune disorders.
This page has been set up to ask everyone to join with their friends and family in prayer for Belle. First and foremost we ask for prayer for Belle but there has been an account set up for Belle to help with medical expenses and lost time at work for her parents to be at her side. If anyone is able and would like to help it would be greatly appreciated .The most important thing is a prayer chain that reaches the ends of the earth
