Preble's Road to Recovery

On Wednesday, June 4th, 2014 my brother-in-law Craig Preble was involved in a serious accident while on a family vacation. He was immediately transported to a local hospital and quickly life flighted to Sanford University in Fargo, North Dakota.
Shortly after arriving here, Craig underwent surgery to relieve pressure on his spinal cord. He is still on the ventilator and mildly sedated . Every couple hours they do let up on the sedation medication for neuro checks. He is very aware of us and what has happened. He tries to communicate with us when then decrease the medication. This is very frustrating for him because he can't due to the ventilator tube. They have been using pictures and he is able to blink to say yes or no.
Right now the extent of his injuries are unknown until he has another surgery to help stabilize his neck and the swelling goes down on his spinal cord. However, he is able to shrug his shoulders and move his arms. The next surgery will most likely be this coming Wednesday.
Craig is strong and we remain optimistic for his recovery. However, they are a far way from home and not sure when they will get back to Omaha. Sarah and family remain in Fargo by his side. In the meantime bills are building at home, they have hotel expenses, and of course will have medical and rehab expenses.
People have asked what they can do and how they can help. My hope is that we can ease any worry that will cross their mind. So here I am asking for prayers, words of encouragement, and if you wish a donation to help the family.
