<div>20 miles are now in the bag.
</div>

<div>This morning I left the Railway Inn in Billericay and took the first steps of my journey towards Barry Island, South Wales.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And I started it knowing that together we have now raised OVER £5,000 FOR CALM.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When I set the target of reaching £4,000 before leaving Billericay, I genuinely didn't know whether we'd get there.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You didn't just get us there.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You absolutely smashed it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The donations, messages, shares and support have been incredible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And now it's my turn to deliver.
</div>

<div>BILLERICAY → BARRY: THE JOURNEY HAS BEGUN

<div>Today was Day One.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>20 miles walked.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And one of the best parts was that I didn't have to start this challenge alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Members of Billericay Round Table walked the first 10 miles alongside me, seeing me through the opening miles and giving me exactly the sort of send-off that reminds me why Round Table means so much to me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over the coming days, I'll continue making my way across the country:

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Billericay → Ilford → Central London → CALM HQ → Maidenhead → Oxford → Cirencester → Thornbury → Chepstow → Newport → Cardiff Bay → Penarth → Sully → Barry Island.
</div>

</div>
<div>Around 190 miles over seven days.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Along the way, I'll be meeting more members of the Round Table family, some joining me for sections of the walk and others simply helping me keep moving.
</div>

</div>
<div>That's something I want this challenge to showcase too.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Round Table isn't just a local club.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There are Round Tables and Tablers across the UK and around the world. You can arrive somewhere knowing nobody and discover you've got mates there you simply haven't met yet.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The support we offer each other is incredible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I've experienced that personally, and it's one of the reasons this challenge means so much to me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And when I finally reach Barry Island on Saturday, members of Barry Round Table will be there to see me home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There's something pretty special about that.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Billericay Round Table saw me on my way.

<div>And between the two, I'll have the support of Tablers, friends, family and complete strangers helping me carry this message nearly 190 miles across the country.

<div>WHY I'M WALKING
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Daniel White, and throughout my year as Chairman of Area 35 Round Table Britain &amp; Ireland for 2026/27, I'm raising money for CALM — Campaign Against Living Miserably.
</div>

</div>
<div>My aim remains simple:

</div>
<div>Raise money. Spread awareness. Start conversations that could help save lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This cause is deeply personal to me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I know what it feels like to struggle in silence. I know those lost hours — the long nights, the hidden battles and putting on a smile because it feels easier than explaining what's really going on.
</div>

</div>
<div>For me, Round Table helped save my life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It gave me friendship when I needed it most. It gave me purpose. It gave me somewhere to belong and people who stood beside me — sometimes without even knowing how much I needed them.

</div>
<div>That's why walking from one Round Table community to another feels so appropriate.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This isn't really about whether I can walk 190 miles.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It's about why I'm walking them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every difficult mile is an opportunity to talk about CALM.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every person who asks what I'm doing is another conversation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every share gets the message in front of somebody new.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And you never know who might need to see it.

<div>£5,000 ISN'T THE FINISH LINE

<div>Passing £5,000 is an incredible milestone, but we're not stopping there.
</div>

</div>
<div>I've still got around 170 miles ahead of me, and I'd love to see just how far we can push this total before I reach Barry Island.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

<div>Same purpose.
</div>

<div>Too many people camouflage how they're really feeling.

<div>And sometimes underneath all of that, somebody is fighting a battle nobody else can see.
