A wonderful man and his family could use our help

Donation protected
Update: John passed away late last night. Jen was with him, and it was peaceful.
Now the family moves from the pain of watching him suffer so much, to the work of grieving over the profound loss of husband and father.
They need so much help financially, given the costs of the funeral, all of the bills that have piled up, all while their sources of income had stopped (pandemic assistance and unemployment).
Please donate what you can, and if you don't like using this platform, you can donate directly to Jennifer Coviello by sending her a check (please connect with me for her address: (nine-seven-eight) nine-seven-three-eight-two-zero-five).

Hi, I'd like to tell you about the Coviellos. I've known John (the husband/father) since I was 19 and he was 16. He calls me "Sis," and I call him "my brother from another mother." I've watched him grow into a fabulous husband and father (he and his wife Jennifer have four kids, ages 12 to 20). They've always been so active doing fun things, adventurous things, educational things - this tight-knit family knows how to enjoy life.
John is generous, kind, loving, intelligent, and one of the funniest people I've ever known. Of course, he'll be the first to go to bat for an underdog (he has two rescue pups, too).
He (and the family) have been dealt one lousy blow after another, and they are just not catching a break:
A few years ago, he had to have heart surgery, which, although successful, has left him a cardiac patient for life.
John being John, he dealt with it beautifully and kept his focus on his family and being there for them.
Then he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
His spirits and attitude stayed pretty good, but this second terrible medical diagnosis was beyond challenging.
You might be thinking: "Okay. Enough already, right?"
But then he ended up with another medical crisis requiring hospitalization and surgery, this time gastrointestinal (over Christmas, so he missed a treasured time with his kids and his wife - and they couldn't spend time with him because of...yep: COVID protocols!)
He is experiencing a particularly challenging time right now with all of these medical issues, and, not being able to work for quite a while, has left them not only emotionally shaky, but in serious financial straits.
So the only thing I can think of to do for him and his family is to raise money so that they don't have to worry about all of the mounting bills, and, instead, they can hunker down together and draw strength from each other, as they do - so beautifully.
John and his family need our help. Anything you are called to contribute will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much!
