<div>Staff at Skipton Girls' High school are raising funds to support a wonderful friend, teacher and colleague, Lizzie Pitt, who has recently received a diagnosis of glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.

</div>
<div>Lizzie is an incredibly dedicated teacher, a loving mum to Felix (10) and Rowan (17), and a cherished member of our school community. During this incredibly challenging time, we want to come together to offer practical and heartfelt support to Lizzie, her husband, and their two children.

<div>The money raised will go directly to the family to help with:

</div>
<div>Daily living costs while Lizzie focuses on her health
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Travel and accommodation for exploring alternative treatments and clinical trials
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference. Let’s show Lizzie and her family just how much love and support surrounds them.
</div>

<div>To do this, staff from school are taking part in a variety of runs in Saltaire on Saturday 20th September. So far, 7 people have signed up to the 10k event and 8 have signed up for the half marathon and this number keeps growing. We will be planning more events in the future, including a sponsored swim and the Yorkshire 3 Peaks.
