A Wheelchair for Sivan

Hello! This fundraiser is to purchase an electric, transportable wheelchair for a 17 year old Syrian boy named Sivan. Sivan has cerebral palsy and can not walk but he loves to go out and be social with his friends in the neighborhood! When he came to the US 2 years ago he brought an electric wheelchair with him from Turkey. This wheelchair has since broken and the one Medicaid provided him with is much too large and bulky. Since it can not fit in the family's car and is too heavy to lift, Sivan is stuck indoors alone most of the time. Medicaid has refused multiple requests for a more mobile wheelchair and the one from Turkey is beyond repair. Local medical supply charities can only offer manual wheelchairs which Sivan can not operate. 

Our goal is to help Sivan's family be able to purchase an electric wheelchair that can actually fulfill its purpose and allow Sivan to be out and about and active once again!
