A well deserved graduation gift

On December 8th, Christopher will reach the end of a very long road. He will graduate from Kansas State University with his degree in unmanned aircraft systems. His journey has been one full of sacrifice, hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Many of you have likely felt the effects of this over the past few years. Whether it was his increasingly limited availability to spend time with loved ones, absence from numerous social events and celebrations, his regular calls for homework assistance, and his discouraged and frustrated rants related to the many bumps he's encountered along the way. Despite its hardships, he has been determined to make his education a top priority, in order to be able to provide for his growing family. 

As as this chapter in his life comes to a close, it only seems appropriate that he be awarded with a very special graduation gift. It has been a challenge to find a gift that will recognize the sacrifices he's made, award his determination and perseverance, and commemorate the achievement of such a major milestone in his life. Although I could go on and on about all the qualities that make Christopher so deserving of something like this, most of you already know him and know what a truly one-of-a-kind and special person he is. 

Christopher is currently in the process of searching for the path that he will take after graduation. Unfortunately, I know he feels a great deal of pressure to find something quickly that will provide our family with some financial stability, rather than something he will truly enjoy. As many of you know, Christopher has a strong passion for the cinematography and artistic side of the UAS industry.  The goal is to be able to present Christopher with a DJI Inspire I V2.0 on his graduation day (December 8th). This particular model is known for its high quality video and ability to produce professional grade films and videos. My hope is that this will allow him to do what he truly loves, whether it is for his own enjoyment or for paying clients should he choose to start his own small business on the side. However, with our single income and a baby on the way, this can only be made possible by a lot of help from the many amazing people we have in our lives!

Any amount that you are willing and able to contribute is greatly appreciated. Please be sure to leave notes, comments, and well wishes with your gifts, as I would really like to share these with Christopher when he is presented with the gift. I am currently looking into some other less expensive options, in case we are unable to raise the full amount. In the unlikely event that the fundraising goal is surpassed, there are several other additions that can be added (such as a camera upgrade, additional remotes, an iPad, etc). I am hoping to have all funds raised no later than Thursday, November 23rd. This will allow for the opportunity to take advantage of any black friday or cyber monday deals, should they be available, as well as to allow for shipping time.
