A Warm Home for John

My son, John, has reached a dead end. He is living in Boston and has been struggling for some time. He broke his spine in September and is unable to work. He's required to wear a brace 24/7 for a minimum of 6 months and the doctor told him if he bends, twists, turns too quickly, he could require surgery.

He has been staying in a house from which everyone had been evicted a couple of months ago and the city just forced him out today. The snow is up to his knees. All shelters are over capacity and they don't have any available case management services (at least that I've found) due to COVID. I'm trying to help him apply for assistance with housing and disability, but we all know that takes forever. Apparently, in a big city like Boston, you're lucky to find a small room to rent in someone's house for $700 per month.  

John was receiving pandemic unemployment assistance and that's set to expire this month. Once that expires, he will have no income and he'll lose what little he owns (mostly clothes and shoes) that is currently in storage. 

I'm trying to raise $7500, which should at least get him some housing for 6 to 9 months. Hopefully he'll have more assistance by then.  If you can find it in your heart and you're able to help John, he and I will be so grateful! If you aren't able, please share this link.
