A Walker for Nicole

Walking is something that we all take for granted….
A friend from TAFE is in a situation that just makes us MAD!!
Nicole has Cerebral Palsy and relies on a walker and wheel chair to get around.
MONTHS ago the wheels on Nicole’s walker snapped off which left her WITHOUT a walker. Thanks to some friends she has scrapped together parts to do a patch and fix, but this is not a solve for her situation…
Nicole needs a new walker! Jess and I have decided that with the power of our friends & family (and the wider community) we are going to get Nicole a new walker.
Some of you may be wondering about the NDIS…. Why don’t they help her??
Well the NDIS have said that she will need to wait until next year to request for more funding to get a new walker, however this is not guaranteed as they have deemed it not vital (go figure!!)
The cost of a new walker is $1400
All donations are greatly appreciated, no matter how small (or big) if you can’t donate she would love to read your messages of encouragement because we all know that Nicole is such an optimistic, positive and ambitious young lady but this has been a trying time for her, and her family....and I know that I speak for us all when I say we just want to see her get back on her feet!!!
