If you know me personally or if you know my sister Valerie Foulis & her family or if you simply have a personal vendeta against Breast cancer & the nasty path it has made for so many brave women, then i ask you to support A Victory for Valerie- fighting cancer.

Our goal is large but if you know Breast cancer you know what a Beast an aggressive Stage 3B Tripple Negative Ductilce Carcinoma tries to be, especially to a young 47 yo wife & mother of 6.. yes 6 adopted kids.

Valerie is currently undergoing intense chemotherapy to be followed by radiation some time next year & then eventually a double mastectomy & reconstruction.

She is a small business owner in Mexia Tx. & her husband was set to open his small restaurant in Oct, but that had to be delayed because of Valerie's diagnosis. He will be opening soon but has had to take time away to help his family in this difficult time.

Valerie was diagnosed in Sept 2017.
She had what she thought was a hematoma in her breast, injury unknown.  She is on blood thinners due to a genetic blood clotting issue, so having a hematoma would not be that out of bounds.  She though it was healing until each of her dogs jumped up in a row onto her & hit the "hematoma" ( you know they say dogs can smell cancer..)  she felt they re-injured it because it hurt so much.
Valerie set up an apt. to have the "hematoma" removed. She actually had to push the day of surgery to get them to go through with the removal  (they told her it would just re-absorb ).  She was in so much pain she wanted it out & to move on.
About 5 days later she recieved the call that no one ever wants. The surgeon herself called & told her it was breast cancer & that she needed an MRI right away to see how far it had spread.
Well Valerie had gone to Scott & White to have her surgery because they are the closest & she trust them, unfortunately they are not on her insurance.  So her regualr Dr. she had seen at S&W did not even know yet  about the diagnosis only the surgeon.

Valerie has an aggressive 3B ( that means advanced) tripple negative breast cancer so there was little time to wait or find new Drs under her insurance ( options were very limited anyway ). So she is currently uninsusred, she has been told she can get on medicaid for breast cancer patients, there is a special funding set up, hopeful she will be able to get that.

We have a small family history, as of 2013, our mother had stage 2B ductile carcinoma, but hers was NON tripple negative, Valerie's is tripple negative.
So genetic testing was done to try to figure out how or why she has this cancer, she was negative for any genetic connection,  as of today the why of her diagnosis is unknown.

A Victory for Valerie- fighting cancer  will create funds to help pay for medical treatments & living expenses, while she is unable to work & while we are fighting this nasty disease.
If you can help, we thank you, every single donation will be a true blessing & a Victory for Val in her fight.
