A trike for Tim (hybrid wheelchair)

Hi, my names Tim Boxall, a Multiple Sclerosis sufferer with epilepsy, and I hope you can help me get a hybrid wheelchair.. Five years ago, I was diagnosed with progressive Multiple Sclerosis, and I've been living with the condition since. I'd had epileptic seizures also since the age of 12. Multiple Sclerosis (or MS) is a long-lasting, and currently incurable disease that can affect your brain, spinal cord, and the optic nerves in your eyes. It can cause problems with vision, balance, muscle control, and other basic body functions. Its been quite a journey over the past few years. The condition always seems to bring another hurdle to cross. I've come to terms with living with it - but in practicality, it doesn't make it any easier. One of the greatest struggles I've faced is with mobility. I went from being fully able-bodied to limping, using a cane, crutches, leg splint then finally, a wheelchair. The problem I now face is that as the condition progesses, I can no longer self propel, and in order to retain any semblence of independence, must use a lightweight, modular powered chair. The problem is, they're expensive and can't be funded on the NHS .   To put it into perspective, I currently spend my life pretty much restricted within a square half mile of my home town, Worthing. Despite being near shops, parks, and the beach, all of these are inaccessible to me. I rely on friends and family to push me in a chair thats become too heavy for me as the MS progresses - so if no-one is available, I'm stuck.  My condition will worsen - thats a fact I've accepted, and I'll never drive due to epilepsy, so I'm hoping that with your support, kindness, and generosity, I can regain my independence. I'm hoping to be able to spend time with my family and friends, to play with my young nieces and nephew in the park, to walk the dog, and to able to travel to places that would previously have never caused problems. I've been a keen charity fundraiser through costuming groups, helping raise over £70,000 in the last 7 years, and I'm hoping that the freedom a hybrid chair will give will allow me to continue. With your help, I can get a lightweight chair through Team Hybrid, with power front wheel that will adapt to my needs both now and through the years, serving me through an uncertain future. I'm hoping to raise whats needed by the end of 2018, allowing me to usher in a new year with newfound freedom.
