A Tree Fell on Akira’s Car, Insurance Won’t Cover

Hi everyone,
On August 4, 2020, Hurricane Isaias blew through my neighborhood, knocking down several large trees. While my family and I are grateful to be safe after the storm, my car did not make it out unscathed. A tree fell on it, causing major damage that left it totaled. It was a lease, meaning that all damage to the vehicle it has to be paid back in the full value of the car by the end of the lease. Due to a series of truly unfortunate events, my insurance will not cover any of the damage caused, meaning my family and I are responsible for every penny. This has significantly altered the trajectory of my life path, as this incident occurred just two days before I was set to sign a lease on my first apartment on my own. Due to the costs, I won’t be able to move because I’m spending the money saved for moving on the now damaged vehicle. I am left without a car, unable to move, and responsible for thousands in damages. This fund will cover the remaining costs of the car value that my savings do not. Thank you all for your help.
