At A Time to Create, LLC our mission is to help the youth express themselves through the art of songwriting. Songwriting gives students the opportunity to express themselves in a fun and creative way. Songwriting enhances their social skills, encourages critical thinking, helps build confidence, assists in personal development and its therapeutic. In the songwriting class we focus on different topics on a weekly basis. In which the students learn how to transform their feelings into words. To put the icing on the cake. Songwriting is Fun!
This upcoming year we'll be celebrating 3 years of teaching the youth how to express themselves through the art of songwriting. We happen to have many families that are able to afford our program, but do to unfortunate circumstances some families are not able to. We've created a scholarship fund to help low income families pay for the enrichment programs we provide. Our goal is to raise $5,000. For every $5,000 raised, a total of 26 students will be able to learn self-expression through songwriting at no cost for an entire year.
Our inspiration behind creating this scholarship fund, was a single mother struggling with financial difficulties. A vulnerable yet brave mother contacted us and shared about her child's love of the arts. She talked about her child's strong desire to participate in our songwriting class. This mother expressed the hardships of being a single mom, and having to take on the financial burdens of family and household life on her own. Although our programs are affordable to most, not everyone are able to afford it.
Donating to this scholarship fund will give the children of low income families the opportunity to express themselves in healthy ways, while creating something beautiful.
