nuevamente, paso a paso.

My name is Ramiro Gomez, originally from Guatemala. I have always worked throughout my life to cover personal and family expenses, but my life changed on December 25, 2020. I contracted COVID-19, along with the diabetes that had always existed. I had what resulted in both pathologies becoming complicated, which caused my body to collapse, remained in a coma for more than three months unconscious connected to respirators, to machines to keep me alive; I was confined in the Sant Jude hospital in California, between weighing 155 pounds and due to so much time in bed, I came away thinking 95 pounds, feeling weak but still staying alive and wanting to live and keep going.

I started in a rehabilitation center to recover my movements, I spent three months, but I could not continue because I contracted an infection in my stomach to such an extent that I was on the verge of death again, all this made my body slowly deteriorate, with the therapies I was able to walk again, step by step. COVID-19 affected my sight to such an extent that I lost my vision, I got tired trying to walk short distances, and it also gave me a little fatigue and tachycardia, all this due to the sequelae that permanently affected my entire body.

Two years have passed since that moment that I was a victim, like many people who went through this terrible disease like COVID-19, but I thank God for being alive and being able to tell my story even at 52 years old, I want to go out Go ahead and ask for your goodwill to help me cover my diabetes medications to continue with my rehabilitation process, currently, I cannot work until I am fully recovered. I never thought to ask for help before, but it is brave to recognize and accept when help is needed.
