Join us in building a welcoming community through art, music, and shared experiences for all ages and abilities. Place to Connect -Community Interest Company _ NON PROFIT organisation was recently formed by Irena Falcone and Lucy Farran.

Over the past few years, we’ve been gathering at Falcon’s Deli for art workshops, music events, and community meetups — creating a warm, welcoming space where people of all ages can come together, express themselves, and feel a sense of belonging. For many, especially older residents, these events have become a lifeline — a place to laugh, make friends, and simply feel seen.

But as we grew, we noticed something important: not everyone could afford to join in. Some people were quietly missing out on the very connection we were trying to build. That’s when we realised we needed to do more.

That’s why we created Place to Connect CIC — a Community Interest Company — so we can be truly inclusive and make sure no one is left behind.

Our mission is simple but powerful:

To reconnect people through creative activities

To strengthen and rebuild our local community

To make sure everyone, no matter their background or ability, feels included

Founded by Lucy Farran and Irena Falcone (a long-time business owner in Old Hatfield), we’re now working to secure a permanent, inclusive space where art, food, music, and shared experiences can continue to bring people together.

Your donation will help us:

To pay for set up costs i.e. sign above the shop, website and advertising. We are applying for grants but to keep this rolling we need your help.

Every pound helps us bring people out of isolation and back into community life. Together, we can rebuild the connections that make life richer — because we are all part of the same fabric called community.
