A soilders final wish

On Saturday May 20th, Andre Rasin lost his long, brave, battle with his human form. His heart had failed first, eventually leading him to be placed on a heart transplant list. His heart could not withstand the long wait list and Andre became a pioneer LVAD patient. His life depended on a battery pack that he was hooked up to. Andre was a gifted artist and taught in the New York City School District. He had gallery shows all over the world and never stopped creating up until his health robbed him of his ability to see. A veteran and a father to four girls he took on as his own when he married his soulmate, Andre was larger than life. His laugh and intensity commanded the room. He was adored by his grandchildren and loved fiercely by his wife, Awilda. Andre took his last breath, and left his human form and although he is physically gone, he is still just as commanding in his death as he was in life. His wife and family need help with his final expenses, and to bury him with the respect and dignity a veteran deserves. Any donations at this time would be greatly appreciated as Andre's medical expenses have strained the families finances for years. Awilda was his sole caregiver and could no longer work outside of the home, as Andres massive medical issues compounded with his blindness, required 24 hour care. She has tirelessly put her own life on hold to care for him and oversee all of the necessary medical treatments he required daily. There savings has been depleted.
