A Single Mother (Makijah Phillips) Needs Help

Donation protected

Makijah Phillips, a 23-year old single mother of her 2 year old son Elliot, has consistently had her world rocked since her relationship with her abusive and neglectful boyfriend (and the father of Elliot) fell apart in March, and was only made worse by the pandemic. She has moved across the country twice in 6 months, and has been had to do 10+ smaller moves in less than 3 months, from living with family members, friends, a women's shelter, places of that nature. Because of the fallout with the father of Elliot, who wants nothing to do with Makijah or Elliot and has refused any kind of help or assistance, Makijah has had to struggle with not having an ID, proof of residency, struggled with maintaining food stamp benefits, health benefits, and many other things. She has a variety of health issues, such as autoimmune diseases, and no way to currently bring in money due to having to care for Elliot and not having ID to prove who she is. She is currently living with her sister in Washington state after her toxic family forced her and Elliot to move from where they were staying in Texas. She has almost no possessions outside of clothing and a few toys for Elliot. The constant moving and uncertainty of her situation has dumped mountains of stress onto her and is making it difficult for her to care for Elliot. She has no job, no car, health issues that prevent her from being able to drive/work, barely any diapers left, just had her phone plan cancelled by her toxic family, and is slowly attempting to get on a variety of welfare programs. She is an incredible person that is passionate about anime, astrology, painting, and has one of the most giving souls I have ever come across. Makijah for years has had to be codependent in some way, and is ready to finally be able to be independent and provide a fruitful life for both her and Elliot. She has been a close friend of mine for 10+ years and is being continually thrown new curve balls every day that are keeping her from thriving. Your donations would help her reach some kind of stability.

Money from this campaign would be used to help keep Makijah and Elliot afloat, allow her to pay for various documents she needs like a new ID, a phone plan, work toward being able to get her own apartment, pay for bus rides for groceries and/or work, and of course things Elliot needs such as food, clothes, diapers, and much more.
