My name is Antanas Simončikas (Anthony Simonchik). I am a 44-year old male. I live in Kaunas, Lithuania. Lithuania is a small country by the Baltic Sea.
I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis when I was 2 years old. The disease progressed into Muscle Atrophy. I cannot walk and I am bedridden since the age of 10.
I don't have the ability to leave my hometown because transportation here is not adapted to the needs of disabled people. Buses and trains do not have ramps for wheelchairs. Best case scenario is that I do get out to see urban "jungle" but it doesn't happen every time I want it. I wish I was in the park, touring small towns and beautiful places or enjoying beauty of the nature.
My dream is a car. By all means - not a new shiny car but a car with special equipment, so I could ride my wheelchair in-and-out of it. My biggest dream: come to a seashore, to the park in the spring would be accomplished with the help of such specialized car. Now I am stuck in my tiny room against the computer monitor. I would give anything to be able to travel city-to-city, maybe even see some other European country.
Please help me to achieve my dream of travel.

Sveiki, esu Antanas Simončikas. Man 44 metai, gyvenu Kaune.
Nuo 2-jų metų amžiaus sergu psoriaziniu artritu. Liga progresavo į sąnarių atrofiją, deformavo visus sąnarius ir nuo 10-ties metų amžiaus esu pilnai prikaustytas prie lovos.
Man nėra galimybės išvykti toliau iš namų, nes mūsų tarpmiestinis transportas nepritaikytas invalido vežimams. Geriausiu atveju galiu pavažinėti po miesto "džiungles" ir tai ne visada kai noriu. O taip norisi pabūti gamtoje, pakeliauti po mūsu miestus ir miestelius, aplankyti gražias vietoves, pažinti mūsų nuostabios Lietuvos gamtos grožį.
Mano svajonė - automobilis. Jokiu būdu neieškau naujo ir blizgančio automobilio, bet tokio su spec. įranga, kad pats galėčiau įvažiuot į mašiną ir išvažiuoti iš jos invalido vežimu. Didžiausia mano svajonė - nuvykti prie jūros, nuvažiuoti į pavasarinį mišką.. o ne vien tiktai sėdėti savo kambarėlyje, priešais monitorių. Dieve, kaip noriu pakeliaut... nuo miesto iki miesto, o gal ir kurią senąją Europos šalį pamatyt..

Nuo 2-jų metų amžiaus sergu psoriaziniu artritu. Liga progresavo į sąnarių atrofiją, deformavo visus sąnarius ir nuo 10-ties metų amžiaus esu pilnai prikaustytas prie lovos.
Man nėra galimybės išvykti toliau iš namų, nes mūsų tarpmiestinis transportas nepritaikytas invalido vežimams. Geriausiu atveju galiu pavažinėti po miesto "džiungles" ir tai ne visada kai noriu. O taip norisi pabūti gamtoje, pakeliauti po mūsu miestus ir miestelius, aplankyti gražias vietoves, pažinti mūsų nuostabios Lietuvos gamtos grožį.
