Meet Marcus Brown
Marcus is a bright, adventurous, and beautiful 4-year-old who was recently diagnosed with Level 3 autism spectrum disorder (ASD). While full of love and potential, he face daily challenges that make everyday situations overwhelming — from loud noises to transitions, to simply going out in public safely. Marcus is nonverbal with history of elopement.
One thing that could truly transform Marcus’s life is a professionally trained autism service dog. These amazing animals provide comfort, emotional regulation, and safety. In some cases, they can prevent wandering, offer deep pressure therapy during meltdowns, and help a child engage with the world more independently and confidently.
Why We Need Help
Unfortunately, service dogs for children with autism can cost anywhere from $15,000 to $30,000, and insurance does not cover this. The costs include:
• Specialized training (12–24 months)
• Travel for handler training
• Equipment and supplies
• Ongoing veterinary and care expenses
We are reaching out to our community — friends, family, and compassionate strangers — to ask for your help in giving Marcus the gift of safety, companionship, and a better quality of life.
Every dollar helps, and if you can’t donate, please share our story to help us reach others.
With love and gratitude,
Dkhyreona Lewis/ The Family of Marcus Brown
