A service dog for Avery

Donation protected
Four and a half years ago Avery started passing out. And then she started to throw up and her heart would pound, and I, the ICU nurse was lost. I had no idea what was wrong with my baby. And so began our journey into the discovery of a rare disease called neuropathic dysautonomia. Her symptoms include rapid heart rate (150-180), passing out, gastroparesis, inappropriate vasodilation, her pupils no longer constrict, migraines, and permanent vertigo. It took almost 2 years just to get a diagnosis. After insurance, we average $10k/yr out of pocket just for medical expenses. I work just to pay medical bills.
My girl went from being a competitive swimmer, straight A student, biker, backpaper to being able to go to school once or twice a week. We now part time homeschool after finding out she was passing out alone in the school parking lot.
Our goal is to take her life back and giver her some independence with a service dog to help her walk, pull her wheelchair, and protect her when she passes out.
The goal of $35k is anticipated to cover the lifetime cost of obtaining a dog, training, certification , veterinary bills, food and care of the dog. Training alone is estimated to be $15-20k, we hope to find a dog sensitive enough to know she will pass out before she does.
Even if you are unable to help at this time, please share our story to get the awarenss out there.
