My name is brett, and reaching out for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Not long ago, my life changed in ways I never could have imagined. My wife left while I was at work, taking my stepdaughter and everything we owned. I haven’t seen them in two years, and I missed my child’s graduation. Just a few months later, I lost my mother and then my brother. The grief and shock sent me into a deep depression, and I lost my 20-year career after a total mental breakdown. My savings are gone, and at 57, I find myself alone and struggling to get by.

Unemployment is fighting my claim because my job didn’t understand or care about my mental health crisis. I have no one to turn to, and I’ve lost my benefits, making it impossible to see my doctors. I never thought I’d be in this position, but I am truly at the end of my rope. I’m asking for help to cover urgent needs like rent, utilities, groceries, and medical bills while I fight for unemployment and disability benefits. It could take months for any assistance to come through, and I need help to keep a roof over my head and take care of basic needs as I work to rebuild.

All I want is a second chance to try to rebuild from so much loss. I don’t want to give up. Any help or prayers would mean the world to me. Thank you for your time, care, and support. God bless.
