<div><strong><em>Kasese</em> District</strong>, located in the Western region of Uganda, lies along the border with <strong><em>Congo</em></strong>. Once a lush and thriving area, it has faced catastrophic environmental damage. In the <strong>1950s</strong>, <strong>Canadian</strong> mining companies <strong><em>Frosbisher</em></strong> <strong><em>Limited</em></strong> and <strong><em>Ventures Limited</em></strong>, through a joint venture named <strong>Kilembe Mines</strong>, extracted over <strong>4 million tonnes of Copper</strong> and <strong>Cobalt</strong>. This unplanned mining left behind heavy debris, disrupted land topography and blocked water channels that once drained the high peaks of this mountainous region, known as the<strong> “Mountains of the Moon (Mountain Rwenzori).”</strong>

<div>Today, the region (Kasese) have become a source of relentless <strong>floods and landslides </strong>from Rivers that can’t accommodate the High Volumes of water flowing through silted Rivers thus bursting their banks and devastating the livelihoods of the <strong>indigenous Bakonzo</strong> and <strong>Bamba</strong> communities. Hundreds so far have lost their lives, and countless families now live in camps for <strong>internally displaced people</strong> (<strong>IDPs</strong>), with little to no resources to rebuild their lives.

<div>Our Mission
</div>
<div>In collaboration with <strong>Abayuuti Climate Action Network</strong>, <strong>No White Saviors </strong>is working to provide hope and a future for the children of these displaced communities. We aim to add a school block in<strong> MUHOKYA INTERNALLY DISPLACED PEOPLES CAMP</strong>, for kids who have been promoted from the <strong>camp kindergarten (Little Angels Day Care</strong> <strong>and Kindergarten)</strong> to the Primary School level, with out this block the kids from Kindergarten won’t have any further Education in 2025

<div>This goal serves to save the next generation by offering <strong>free education at the primary level</strong> to children whose parents have been left hopeless and unable to afford schooling after complete destruction of <strong>Homes</strong>, <strong>Gardens</strong>, <strong>Roads</strong> and <strong>Hospitals</strong> in the region and all their sources of income.

<div>This initiative is a vital step toward restoring dignity and opportunity for these children while we continue advocating for Accountability and Reparations from the Canadian companies responsible for this disaster.

<div>This as well aligns with the No White Saviors 2025 agenda of Education and Supporting Individuals, Organisations and Communities that locally fight for the <strong>Rights</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Indigenous</strong> <strong>People</strong> who have been heavily impacted by Western Greed for resources and Supremacy that is retarding the Continental progress and abusing the Environmental Justice

<div>We call on Individuals, change makers, Philanthropists, Educators and Organisations to stand with the displaced families of Kasese, restoring hope, and advocating for Environmental justice
</div>

<div>Part of this money goes to tailoring, a machine costs 200 dollars which helps in sewing clothes for children and equip women and girls with skills to generate income to run the daily needs of the school
</div>
