EDIT: I have managed to turn off auto pay for all of the accounts which my mom has debt with. Now I am using the GoFundMe to replenish what was overdrafted from her account that prevented the nursing facility from charging her card for her care. I suppose that the worst that will come of this is that she will get a bad credit score, but at least she is in a safe place and being cared for. Thank you again for your contribution and happy holidays! ❤️
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart but a hopeful spirit. My mother, Mary E, has recently had to move into a nursing home, where she can receive the care and support she needs. Unfortunately, the transition has come with unexpected financial challenges that are threatening her stability in this environment.
Due to high costs of care, my mother's Social Security check is fully allocated to pay for her essentials at the nursing home, leaving no flexibility for her financial obligations. Her accounts at Tower Loan, Home Depot, and Capitol One credit card are still taking payments through auto-pay, which has created a problem. Before entering nursing home care, she was living paycheck to paycheck, and because her debts continue to be deducted from her account, the nursing home cannot process a payment in full to cover her care because there isn’t enough left in her account to cover it. Without any savings to pay of her debts, she risks falling behind on her nursing home fees, jeopardizing her placement and the care she desperately needs that can no longer be provided at home.
We are seeking your support through this GoFundMe campaign to help cover her outstanding debts. Your contributions will not only alleviate her financial burden but also ensure she remains in a safe environment where she can receive the proper care that she needs.
I’ve included a couple of attachments of her remaining balances as proof, from Home Depot ($367.73), Capitol one($734.44), and tower loan (approx $2,200) however, I am waiting for tower loan to send me a letter in the mail to show proof of her balance. They told me her remaining balance today over the phone, but they couldn’t send me an email of it, unfortunately. I will update as soon as possible.
Thank you for taking the time to read my mom’s story. Any amount you can give would mean the world to us, and we truly appreciate your kindness and generosity during this time.
Thank you!
