775 Riverside Fire. LQ

On Monday, January 8th, the building where I lived, suffered a 7-alarm fire. That day was the beginning of an unexpected situation for my family.

Everything we owned was severely damaged. Every tenant had to be vacated and we have not been allowed back in the building. We all ended up on the streets of New York under freezing temperatures.

The Red Cross was unable to place my family in a shelter, because we have two beloved pets and this city does not provide shelter to homeless people with pets.

We lost everything and are now in desperate need of help to rent another apartment that would provide us with shelter and security to move forward.

El lunes 8 de enero, el edificio donde yo vivía sufrió un incendio de 7 alarmas . Ese día fue el comienzo de una situación inesperada para mi familia.

Todas nuestras pertenencias fueron severamente dañadas. Todos los inquilinos del edificio fuimos evacuados y no nos han permitído regresar al edificio. Todos terminamos en las calles de Nueva York bajo temperaturas bajo cero.

La Cruz Roja no pudo ubicar a mi familia en un refugio, porque tenemos dos mascotas amadas y esta ciudad no brinda refugio a personas sin hogar con mascotas.

Perdimos todo y ahora desesperadamente necesitamos  ayuda para poder rentar un apartamento que nos provea refugio y seguridad para seguir adelante.

Por estas razones le pedimos que por favor consideren ayudarnos en este momento tan difícil para nosotros.
