A Parent's Worst Nightmare

On this 21st day of January 2018, it is with a troubled heart that I say my dear colleague and friend Nurse Lois  has lost her only son unexpectedly at the young age of 23.  All who have had the pleasure of being in her presence  know that her son was her pride and joy.  What has happened to this kind hearted woman is beyond comprehension and I myself am still in a state of shock as I am sure she is as well. The loss of a child is not just a single event, but an indescribable journey of survival. The days to come will be extremely difficult riddled with mourning, grieving, and readjustment to daily life.
