A New Journey for Lawrence Bell

Lawrence was 14 when he was arrested, 15 when waived to adult court, 16 when he stood trial, and 17 when a judge sentenced him to life plus 50 years and told him he would die in prison. Thanks to Lawrence’s extraordinary transformation, wonderful friends and mentors, and a legal team who believed in him so much it often hurt, in February of 2020, a judge resentenced him to the minimum, 30 years. I am privileged to represent him and was humbled to be by his side today as he walked out the door 30 years to the day he went in.
