A New Lease on Life for Chanel

Hello, friends! I'm raising money for my wonderful, bright, sweetheart of a cousin, Chanel. She is currently in the process of preparing to receive a liver transplant. She has also been undergoing dialysis for failing kidneys, and has been out of the emergency room several times recently for other health issues stemming from these root causes. She most recently went into the ER this past Sunday (6/28) in extreme pain, but she is currently stable and staying and being treated in a regular hospital room.
Chanel has overcome a lot in life, and this is going to be a long and difficult road for her. Fortunately, she has lots of support and is surrounded by love, but getting through this will require resources, too. This situation would be dire even under normal circumstances, but the current state of the world in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic has made receiving treatment for medical emergencies an even more daunting challenge.
Chanel's mom has temporarily relocated back to Michigan from Georgia to help support her during this time, and much of our family lives in the area, too, which is so fortunate, especially during a time where traveling can pose such great risk.
Any love, well wishes, or financial support you could send Chanel's way would be so greatly appreciated by all of us. All funds will go directly to Chanel's support and well-being, and related survival and support expenses due to lost wages, her mom's relocation, etc. I've set an initial fundraising goal of $5,000, but we may increase this with the addition of stretch goals depending on how things progress and what needs may arise.
