<div>We are a Paisley based art charity that provides creative learning classes for adults and children and many vulnerable groups. We also run year round exhibitions and events. We have recently relocated from the former Allders Department Store to 9-11 Causeyside Street, Paisley PA1 1UW. This unique building was originally built in 1931 by MacArthur Bros who moved from across the road No. 8 Causeyside, from an old warehouse that was taken over and demolished by Paisley Co-operative &amp; Manufacturing Society. MacArthur Bros were outfitters and tailors. The new store was built in an art deco style from Northumberland Darney sandstone, with marble and granite embellishments. It comprises of three floors, a ground floor sales area, a first-floor display gallery area and second floor flatted accommodation. The new building appeared at a time of profound economic upheaval, just after the 1929 Wall Street crash. This was ahead of other later developments on the same side by PCMS and others. It was described at the time as “a most commodious store”. Recent occupants were Argos 1986-2020.

<div>We are refurbishing this property to provide Paisley's second only Art Gallery, after Paisley Museum. The space will comprise of an art shop, two gallery floors, artists studios, and office accommodation. We seek additional funds to help us achieve our charitable cause and bring life to and restore the original character of the handsome property.
