A New Heart for Nicki Arsiniega

In June of last year, Bobby and Nicki received the news they had been waiting and praying for, they were expecting their second child. However, throughout her pregnancy, Nicki started experiencing really elevated heart rates. Originally, the doctors assumed it was a symptom of pregnancy but it continued to get worse as time went on.
In October of 2018, Nicki was rushed to Oconomowoc’s ER because she had a life threatening heart rhythm. From there she was taken by Flight for Life to the Milwaukee Hospital so she could receive more specialized care. After a few hours the doctors were able to find a medication that gained control of her heart rate but then came the devastating news that Nicki has Heart Failure. Doctors assume Nicki had a silent heart attack at some point that severely damaged her heart. She was in and out of the hospital and put on bed rest until she reached 32 weeks pregnant, at which point Nicki had a C-section. On December 10th Violet Hope Arsiniega was born at 2 lbs 15oz. Violet spent her first two months in the NICU and is now home doing great.
Since Violet's birth, Nicki has been struggling to get better. Her body has not been responding to any of the medications and her heart has continued to weaken. On February 8th, Nicki was remitted to the hospital and was given news that her only option left is to have a heart transplant. She received her heart after over two months in the hospital!!
Nicki and Bobby could use a lot of help during this difficult time. Myself, Tonya Butschke and Ashley Toth are dear friends of Nicki and Bobby. We know there are so many of us who love Nicki and Bobby and they are already blown away by the amount of help and kindness they have received over the past few months. For those who are still asking how to help, we created this Go Fund Me account. It will help tremendously with the never ending hospital bills and getting them back on their feet while Nicki is on her long road to recovery. Many expenses include, but are not limited to, the hospital stay, different medications, the transplant itself, the road to recovery, daycare costs for Zoe and Violet and general housing costs. They are on one income right now and any contribution you can make will help lighten the burden of their load. The money contributed will go directly to Nicki and Bobby's bank account!
