RIP- Alejandro Vidal Barragan

My brother Alex Barragan has been using for the past two years. My oldest brother housed him, my mother did as well as me. No one understood his pain and how badly he was hurting only me and a few of the closest people to him knew. He was the type to give you the last on his plate, he always made sure I ate before him and would do the dishes anything around the house even stealing me little candies from Safeway. I remember once when he was homeless he had nothing but some candy he stole and he saw a girl begging for money and gave it to her, he just had that type of heart. He was the sweetest person and so intelligent. He was my best friend and always protected me. Just on Sunday he told my mom since she changed his diapers he’d do the same for her. He overdosed outside and they found his body Monday, they tried to revive him but it was too late. He died near where his best friend Carlos did and off the same drug. He was sober for three months living in a group home for adults in a church. He was a changed man, he would tell me and my mom to shh every time the pastor spoke and would take notes, read his bible and stand up to clap. He even asked to pray for me, I am so proud of you and how long you fought. It was hard seeing him get high but now he’s high with the angels. He’s with his dad and best friend who I know he missed so dearly. We would do anything to get you back, I prepared myself for this so long. I wish I could see you one more time and hold you, tell you everything would be okay. My mom would always say she wishes she could put you back in her stomach and hide you from the world. You are so loved and you will live through me everything I accomplish will be for you. You made us all so proud. 09/23/1996- 10/28/2020
