<div>Hello, my name is Ahmed, and I am the oldest son of a family of eight living in Gaza city. We are currently living through a humanitarian emergency that threatens our lives every day: constant displacement, a tent as our shelter, and a lack of the most basic necessities — water, food, and medicine. Among us are three children; the youngest is my little sister Mira, who is 9 years old.

<div>My mother has cancer, my grandmother has a stomach tumor along with diabetes and high blood pressure, and my brother suffers from chronic rheumatoid arthritis. None of them can receive the treatment they need.

<div>We are exhausted, but we keep resisting. Our greatest wish is to survive together and, someday, rebuild our lives and dreams in peace.

<div>Hola, soy Ahmed, el hijo mayor de una familia de ocho personas. Hoy vivimos bajo una emergencia humanitaria que amenaza nuestra vida cada día: desplazamientos constantes, una carpa como refugio y la falta de lo más básico —agua, comida y medicinas. Entre nosotros hay tres niños; la más pequeña es mi hermanita Mira, de 9 años.
