A Mother's Plea: Aid Heath's Healing Journey

My name is Hallie, and my mother’s heart is beyond burdened. For 30 years now, I’ve watched my son, Heath, take two steps forward and three steps back. This has been excruciating for both Heath and myself. Heath was born with Pendred's Syndrome. I’ve said for years that there is a disconnect. Pendred's Syndrome comes with a plethora of different symptoms and health problems, one of them being progressive bilateral hearing loss. Heath has lost most of his hearing. He is not a candidate for a cochlear implant because of his balance issues. Heath married his college sweetheart a couple of years ago. Six months ago, they welcomed their precious son, Henry Rooks Hampton. What a blessing babies are.

Heath is in need of a couple of surgeries on his ankle, which is making it very difficult for him to work. He is also in need of a new hearing aid. This is putting a lot of strain on the Hampton family. Heath desires to start the Butts Beverage Company, which specializes in nonalcoholic ginger drinks. He is very talented in coming up with new recipes.

As a mother, the most important thing for me is that my children and grandchildren know and love Jesus with their whole heart. Second, that they do well in this one life we are given.
