My name is Halina Osikovska, and I am creating this fundraiser for my close friend Míša, a 41-year-old mother of three young children. 
 
At the end of 2025, Míša's life changed completely when she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. 
 
Since then, she has been facing an incredibly difficult journey of cancer treatment and surgery. She is currently in hospital following a surgery, while her family is caring for her three children, aged 12, 3 and 1. 
 
Míša's situation has become even more difficult because, alongside her treatment, she has had to deal with major financial and housing difficulties and a relationship breakup. She is currently on parental leave and, because of her illness and treatment, she is unable to work and provide a regular income for her family. 
 
Her biggest concern is not herself. It is her children. 
 
She wants to make sure that they have a safe home, enough food, everything they need for everyday life, and the stability they deserve while their mother is fighting for her health. 
 
Why I am creating this fundraiser 
 
Míša currently does not have an Irish bank account, so I have decided to create this GoFundMe campaign on her behalf. 

I am her close friend and live in Ireland. I want to make it possible for people in Ireland and other countries to support her directly. 
 
Transparency is extremely important to me. 
 
Every donation received through this fundraiser will be transferred to Míša's bank account and used to support her and her children during her treatment and recovery. 

I will keep clear records of the funds received and transferred, and I am happy to provide appropriate confirmation of the transfers and use of the funds to maintain transparency for donors. 
 
Míša gives even when she has so little 
 
There is something about Míša that I find incredibly moving. 
 
Even while she was in hospital herself, she organised a collection of soft toys through her friends so that children receiving treatment in an oncology department could receive a little gift and a reason to smile. 
 
She is the kind of person who thinks about other children even when she is going through one of the hardest experiences of her own life. 
 
Now it is our turn to think about her.
