Hello,
My name is Ilham Farid. I am a mathematics teacher and a mother of four wonderful children: Lama (15), Ahmad (12), Qusai (10), and Aileen (7).
Before the war, I was living a successful and fulfilling life. I was full of energy, creativity, and passion for teaching. I had received multiple awards for my work and was about to be promoted at my school. I had even participated in an educational trip to Japan, returning full of dreams and plans for my students and my children’s future.
But then the war came… and everything changed in a moment. My home was destroyed, my job disappeared, and my dreams were shattered.
Today, we are living in Ard alzaytoon Camp, facing daily challenges with no stable income and limited resources. Despite this, I have dedicated myself to helping the children of the camp. I have organized therapeutic art workshops to support their emotional well-being and now I am working hard to establish a proper school for the camp, so the children can continue learning and have hope for the future.
I am raising my four children under very difficult conditions and trying every day to provide them — and the children of the camp — with education, safety, and a sense of normalcy.
I am humbly asking for your help. Your support could make a life-changing difference for my family and the children of the camp. Every donation, no matter how small, helps. If you cannot donate, sharing this story with others is just as powerful.
Thank you from the depths of my heart.
May you never face what we are going through.
— Ilham
