A miracle for Koa

I adopted Koa Ophelia Stanwood on March 19th, 2017. Since this joyful pup entered my life, she has been an incredible blessing to me.
At her first visit, the vet uncovered that Koa was not a healthy puppy. She was only 5 weeks old and 6 pounds underweight. Due to her malnourishment she had a heart murmur. The vet thought she would grow out of the murmur.
On March 14th, 2018 Koa went to the vet for a check-up. Her heart murmur was significantly worse -- it had changed from a level 1 to a level 4 on a scale of 1 to 6. Koa went to a veterinarian cardiologist who told us that her heart murmur was caused by a condition called PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus). According to the specialist, Koa's early malnutrition caused a valve in her heart to not close, and this was now causing backflow into her heart. It will lead to heart failure.
Fortunately, it was caught early enough that her heart hasn’t sustained any damage yet, and is 100% fixable with a long life expectancy afterwards. Iowa State University has a Veterinary school specializing in this type of surgery. I've been told that the surgery will cost $2,500 to $3,500.
As a pastor, I frequently try to give assistance and encourage people to help one another. But I don't like asking for help for myself. Being forced by these circumstances to ask for your help is a humbling experience. I have a good start to pay for this surgery, but due to the urgency of Koa's condition, I am asking for your financial assistance.
