A Mini-Van for Kelly's Clan

IN A NUTSHELL -

In October of 2017, our friends, neighbors, and loyal Stepping Stone patrons, Kelly Keith and Tony Ghiglione (aka Tony G) added Kelly's nephew and two nieces to their family.  Kelly and Tony have two children of their own so they are now a family of 7!

As you can imagine, when a family suddenly grows by three kids other things in their life need to grow, namely their vehicle!

Kelly and Tony need our assistance to help them purchase a mini-van to safely and efficiently motor their family around town.

(this is not the actual van, just an example)

MORE OF THE STORY

Kelly's sister has been living off the grid in the mesas and arroyos of Taos County, New Mexico, living off the land and growing her family along the way.

Kelly's sister's situation began to unravel last summer.  With the welfare of her children in mind, she asked Kelly and Tony to take three of her six children to live with them in Seattle.

The children had never been to school, were unable to read or write, have not had the opportunity to make friends, and have lived homeless for the last two years.  The children had no birth documents, have never been to doctors, were not immunized and had NEVER RIDDEN IN A CAR !!!

Kelly and Tony had never met the children but immediately, without a second thought, agreed to take in the kids. This has required many changes in the lives of Kelly, Tony and their two biological children.  All seven of them live in a two bedroom Ballard apartment, with all 5 kids sharing one room.  Kelly had to close her massage business in order to home-school her three new children and be a full time mom to all five kids.  Tony has become the soul provider financially for this crazy, wonderful adventure.

Despite the challenges, their home is thriving and full of joy. Kelly and Tony are  providing a nurturing home for all five of their children and looking forward to a beautiful future.

The family is grateful for gifts of support from local businesses and feel deep gratitude for these acts of kindness. A special thank you to  The Elks, Haircuts at Haven, and Java Bean.

Kelly and Tony are good and selfless people who need our help. Let's rally around them as a community and help to the support this effort to help them purchase a mini-van.
