A Mind Apart: Using the Arts to Support & Inspire

A Mind Apart has influenced and had input into over 10,000 children and young people's lives in Sheffield alone! We are proud of this, and continue to work hard with little resources.

During Covid-19 our work has become more important than ever and our referrals have increased. We are seeing children and young people in crisis like never before. Not only do the most vulnerable and those with mental health needs need us, but we are seeing the average child and young people needing intervention with our drama therapists as well as the need for face to face work and activities.

As an arts organisation we are im a sector that is on its knees, yet the arts are more important than ever. We need to not only support our children and young people, but they need a powerful way to express themselves, their emotions and feelings during this difficult time. Our work has proved invaluable to those we work with, using performing arts to guide them through their own emotions, help them to deal with conflict and build up their confidence and self-esteem.

We hope you can offer a small gift to our work, and we will make sure it is used effectively to benefit those that need better access to the arts, and those that need the arts to benefit their lives!
