We are incredibly saddened to report that Jasmin Tan Musngi, passed away on Sunday, April 26th. A Direct Support Professional at Muller Court for over 15 years, Jasmin was an exceptional employee and a team player who was loved by her coworkers and respected by the management team. Jasmin had an infectious smile and laugh that would light up a room.
Jasmin had a special relationship with each of the individuals she supported. She cared for them with great compassion and kindness and they looked forward to seeing her.
Her coworkers describe her as a lovely lady who was sweet, kind, thoughtful and had a smile for everyone. She loved to tell jokes and make people happy. She also enjoyed music and they would listen to R&B on the night shift with staff.
Jasmin shared stories of her home country and culture with her peers, as well as her love of family, including her daughter, granddaughter and siblings. When she visited the Philippines, she would bring back things like candy, coffee, t-shirts and other things for her coworkers. She would also bring in food from her culture to share at staff meetings. In addition to handing out goodies, she would often give them advice, including how important family is and that it was time one of them got married.
Jasmin embodied Arc’s values of having HEART. With her selfless dedication to everyone she encountered she was a role model for all. Her manager will remember her as having “a lot of energy, very bubbly and fun – she was just Jasmin - she will be dearly missed.” As stated by some of her coworkers she was “an extraordinary human being and beautiful soul” and “a lovely lady, she will be missed but never forgotten”.
