A Longer Table

Hi, my name is Lenny Thorne. 
    Our family has partnered with Andy's Cafe to promote this idea of sharing our blessings, & giving others the chance to do the same.
    The purpose of this fundraiser is to serve 300 less fortunate people in Des Plaines  a meal for dinner, once a week, for four weeks. Lots of folks were struggling before  Covid, & will continue to do so.  For many, their jobs are not coming back, & are not entitled to unemployment comp, Covid relief funds, etc. Beyond needing a good hot meal, hurting people need to know that we see them, that they are cared for.  I believe there is no better way to honor God, than to share with others, what he has so freely given us. Plus, helping others,  just  feels  good!    Andy's Cafe in Des Plaines will create and serve the meals at a cost to them of $6 each. This is their cost to produce 1 meal.  As soon as our goal has raised $1800 we will schedule the first meal.
   Guests will be required to simply register at a-longer-table.com, then be given a confirmation code to produce when they receive their meal.
    We ask that all who see this, search their hearts, & partner with us. I believe there is nothing more God-honoring, than sharing with those in need.
