<div>The waters of Lake Michigan are in the low 70s this summer. I hope the temperature will stay at these levels and the waves will be calm in a couple of weeks when I'll swim for a cause. We are on a mission to support <strong>A Long Swim</strong> in their quest to finish ALS.

<div>A Long Swim is primarily dedicated to using open water and marathon swimming to raise awareness and funding for research to cure ALS.

<div>"ALS is a disease that attacks cells in the body that control movement. It makes the brain stop talking to the muscles, causing increased paralysis over time. Ultimately, ALS patients become prisoners within their bodies, unable to eat, breathe, or move on their own. Their mind, however, often remains sharp so they are aware of what’s happening to them."
