A Liver for Vicki

My Mom Vicki is now on the waitlist for a liver transplant. Part of the process involves a phone call telling her and myself as her support person to drop everything and go immediately to the hospital for the surgery. This also involves living for up to 3 months in Edmonton, Alberta. Neither of us will be able to work or have any income other than basic assistance programs.

Beyond the surgery and medical costs involved, there is very little financial assistance for us during that time. I myself will be taking time off work to support my mom during that period and my brother and sister-in-law will be providing any assistance as much as they are able to as well. We have put together this fundraiser to help cover the travel, living and food expenses for when the surgery eventually happens.
