On January 18, 2020 our loved one left home and never returned. Latricia Bass-Jefferies of Dayton, Ohio, 43 years old was found 6 days later at Buck Creek in Springfield after the authorities found her car in the lake a day before. We, as her work family has come together to create this site to help her family bury this wonderful soul that we all say was “the life of the party” no matter where she went. We have truly lost someone special who took life by the hand and showed it her strength to the very end.
Latricia was a hard worker who did not play about her money. She usually was the first one in the building greeting everyone with her “Good Mornting” and the last one out the building with her “I’m gonna need to pop my trunk after the day I had.” A teacher to many people young and old. She has brightened many lives with her smile, loudness, energetic, and beautiful ways. She was no stranger to anyone as she treated them like she knew them for a lifetime. She would do anything for anyone. No one can understand the loss that her family, her coworkers, and her children are dealing with for she truly is irreplaceable.
There are so many memories that can be shared about this lively person. We are going to miss you Latricia and you know that we love you. MVCDC will never be the same without your smile and energy that you bring. Thank you for gracing us with your presence and laughter. You made us proud to call you family. You made us proud to call you friend. Now let us show you how much we appreciate you until we see you again. Love you always.
