<div>Hi, my name is Crystal Floyd, and I’m the founder of Pathways to Home, Inc. in Tampa, Florida.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m creating this GoFundMe because I’m tired — not of the mission — but of watching the same group of people get overlooked again and again:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The working class. The people who are always “almost” okay, but never quite have enough.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They tell us:
</div>
<div>“Pull yourself up by your bootstraps.”
</div>
<div>“Work harder.”
</div>
<div>“Just save.”
</div>
<div>“Be grateful.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But what they don’t say is how hard it is to save when life keeps hitting you back-to-back:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>a layoff
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>a health issue
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>rent increases
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>car repairs
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>childcare
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>groceries that cost more every single week
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And even when people do everything “right,” there’s still that wall:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The lump sum.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Down payment. Closing costs. Surprise fees.
</div>
<div>And if credit needs work? That’s another obstacle that makes people feel like they don’t even deserve a chance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It becomes a rat race — and people get stuck in it for years.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And what makes me the most upset is this:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These are the very people who need help the most — and society pays them no mind.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But WE are America.
</div>
<div>Not just a hashtag. Not just a talking point.
</div>
<div>We’re the workers, the caregivers, the parents, the teachers, the hospital staff, the everyday people who keep everything running… and still can’t get ahead.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s why I started Pathways to Home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This nonprofit exists to help working families become homeowners by providing:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>down payment and closing cost support (when funding is available),
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>guidance and resources to become mortgage-ready,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>and a real pathway to stability instead of endless renting.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why I’m raising $1,000 right now
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m raising $1,000 to put our message on TV.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I already paid out of pocket to create a professional 30-second commercial because I believed in this mission that much — but now I need $1,000 upfront to secure the airtime and move forward.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If we raise this, the commercial can run for 3 consecutive months, which is exactly what we need to reach the people who feel invisible and to bring donors and partners to the table.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Where your donation goes
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your donations will go directly to:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>TV airtime to launch the Pathways to Home commercial
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>and small related costs needed to activate the campaign
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What your support really does
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your gift doesn’t just fund airtime.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It tells a working family:
</div>
<div>“You matter.”
</div>
<div>“You’re not crazy.”
</div>
<div>“You’re not alone.”
</div>
<div>“You deserve help too.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And honestly… I need to know that somebody out there still believes in this group of people. Because right now it feels like everyone says they care — until it’s time to actually help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re reading this, I’m asking you:
</div>
<div>Please be part of the proof that support still exists.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Even $10, $25, or $50 makes a difference.
</div>
<div>And if you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser still helps more than you know.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for standing up for the overlooked.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If we surpass our goal, the additional support will go directly toward more airtime and community outreach for Pathways to Home.
