Dear Friends and Well-Wishers,
Ludis is one strong cookie and I wish you all knew her personally.
Ludis is 24 years old and her kidneys have been shutting down…working at only 15%. She has been living with Chronic Kidney Disease where her kidneys just ‘never grew up’. They were very small – like that of a 5 year old.
On October 1, 2018, after waiting 4 years, Ludis received ‘the call’. The wonderful doctors and staff at Boston Medical took her under their care and performed her kidney transplant. Prayers and gratitude to her anonymous donor -- a giver of life ♥ and blessings.
It has been tough going with her recovery but she is taking it one day at a time and each day brings new strength and hope.
Ludis, in a nutshell, has a quiet presence, a wonderful sense of humor, an amazing work ethic and a heart filled with love. She is a young person with an old soul who appreciates and finds beauty in the little things. Her energy makes you feel good to be around her.
I am setting up this Go Fund Me in order to assist with the heavy financial aspect attributed to the surgery, life-long medications, medical deductions, co-pays, in-home care, being out of work, etc. Any amount, large or small, would be a welcome support and very much appreciated.
If a donation is not in your budget at this time, we would be grateful for your prayers as she continues to stay and heal in a protected environment during her recovery. It will be months before she will be able to work again.
