A Journey To No More Pain

Hello! My name is Kenneth. Due to PTSD from 2 bad dentist visit experiences and battling Major Clinical Depression over the years (in which I have overcome), my teeth have started to fail to the condition that they are in now. Almost everyday, I have some sort of pain from my teeth. Also, they are constantly getting infected. In the past, I have had to go the Emergency Room due to an infected tooth. My lip had swollen double its size. The pain from the tooth infection was so bad that it caused my blood pressure to skyrocket.

It is very painful to eat anything that is not soft. Also, I cannot drink or eat anything cold. My rear teeth are badly eroded and are almost unusable. Any pressure to my front middle teeth will cause pain. No matter how much I brush or floss, my teeth still gets infected and falls apart. My front middle teeth are chipped which has caused me to be embarrassed by any smile I may make. I do not enjoy smiling like I did in the past. I try not to smile while laughing. I use to to have a very nice smile and use to get complements on it. That stopped once my teeth started to go bad. My self esteem has taken a huge hit due to the condition of my teeth.

My bottom row of teeth are in better shape. No infections down there so I will only need work on my top row of teeth. I have received recommendations from dentists that I have visited, including the Koplan Implant and Family Dentistry of Leeds, Alabama, to have them all removed and replaced with the All-On-4 dental implants. The dental implants will prevent bone loss and facial sagging. I am only 28 years old and would like to keep my bone structure and look of age the way it is. The All-On-4 procedure is the process of inserting 4-6 implants in my top jawbone for support and then connecting an arch of fake teeth to the implant supports. The implants would look and function as normal teeth allowing me to finally eat foods with ease and no pain. The total cost for the implants and surgery totals $12,466. I hope to have the surgery in December.

The total process will be done in one day. I will be put under anesthesia and wake with the process completed.

My income is not high enough to finance this procedure. Also, my current dental insurance does not cover dental implants. After finding out about United Health Insurance (who covers dental implants), I recently switch over to them. The only problem is that coverage for Dental Implants (50%) will only be available after a year of starting their dental insurance plan. That is too long of a wait.

I hate to ask for help. I'm more of a giver. That's just my nature. But I am definitely in a health crisis and I desperately need help. Having so much pain almost everyday has really taken a toll on me. Any contributions, even if it's just $1, would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou so much for taking the time to read my fundraiser.
