A Journey Like "Nun" Other

Hello! My name is Sister Carmela Chetcuti. I am the founder of The Society for Peace, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2004 dedicated to promoting peace in the hearts of people, families, and communities throughout the world.  As a cloistered Carmelite Nun, I felt called to leave the cloister to take this message to the people.  

Starting Sept. 24 I will be answering the call to go on a mission of evangelizing and sowing seeds of faith, hope, and love by traveling the perimeter of the United States (approx. 10,000 miles) for 22 days. During the trip, I will be praying a continuous rosary while giving away as many religious items as I can along the journey.  

In order to carry out this call for peace and prayer, I will be relying on the gracious donations of those who, by God's grace, stumble upon this page.

Your donations will go towards my gas, travel expenses, and one meal a day.  Since I am leaving on 9/24, I hope to reach my goal before 9/20. 

I truly feel that our society is in the midst of some dark times, so I cannot explain how much your donations will mean to me on this journey towards peace. Please know that whatever you donate (monetarily or by prayer) will contribute greatly to a more peaceful society.
