A Home for Cheri and Legend

I am currently homeless and do not have the money for me and my 2 year old pup Legend to rent an apartment. Not many places rent allowing pets. The ones I found in the Bangor, Brewer, Hermon, Maine area are $700 to $800 needing frst month and security depositI (some even want last month deposit). My Story: I rented a beautiful home in Winterport Maine for over 13 years. My husband of 22 years left me and we divorced in 2013. My adult son shared rent until 2016 and moved out with his girlfriend. I shared the rent after that with a roommate who recently got their own place. I met a man on a dating site recently who promised me the world and insisted I give up my beautiful rental home to move in with him. He said he would take care of me and my pup and I would never have to want or worry about money or anything again. I was treated like a princess for a short time. A few weeks into the relationship he turned extremely abusive physically and mentally. He threatened my life and my Legend's life daily. I left there with no money in my pocket and was able to escape and stay for one weekend with my son. My son's landlord does not allow dogs and said we must leave. I never in my life thought I would be in a homeless situation. I do have a job but won't get paid for 2 weeks and the next one will be very small due to a health issue which had escalated due to my being hit by the abusive man I lived with. My Legend is my whole life.....my Baby....the reason I can still smile through all the pain and heartache my life has brought me recently. I have no one and nowhere to turn to raise this money quickly so that I do not lose my job and my Sweet Beautiful Legend. I never asked anyone for anything. I worked hard my entire life for everything I needed. I now for the first time in my life am at the bottom with no way out. Any help would be so greatly appreciated more than anyone could know. I would even try to pay back what I could in the future if I could get this financial help. Any small amount would help so much.  Legend and I thank you with all our hearts. We wait patiently to see what tomorrow may bring....joy or more sorrow. I pray for happiness again. Thank You! Cheri
