Thanks to everyone! Almost there.

I am a lawyer who recently met with a client because her three-month-old  twin babies nearly died as a result of medical malpractice.  Luckily she ignored the pediatrician's advice when he told her that the babies just had a virus, and persisted in bringing them to the emergency room the next morning where her daughter flat-lined 5 times.  Now the twins are 11 months old and doing much better but part of the consequences of the late diagnosis of sepsis was that the twins had to be hospitalized for months 75 miles away from their home.  The mom did her best to go back and forth to be with her 3 year old, as well as the babies, but the added expenses of daycare for the older child, gas, convenience foods, etc. made her fall behind in her rent.  She was evicted.  She is now with her young children in a homeless shelter. 

It is my goal to raise $6,000 for her so that she can move into an apartment and have a small cushion.  I have raised close to $5,000 through contributions from friends, including this site, and need the rest to give her a new beginning.  She does have enough money coming in to pay rent monthly, but just not enough to pay first, last and security.

The father of the children attempted to murder her twice, and so he is incarcerated.  She has to stay in Connecticut to continue to get the benefits of HUSKY care for the kids and continuity of care at CCMC.  

Diapers, wipes and housewares also extremely appreciated.   

She did not ask me to do any of this.  Please help me help her, we are more than halfway there.
